In South Australia, the minimum legal size for Mulloway is 82 cm and the daily bag limit is 2 per person in all waters outside the Coorong (boat 6); within the Coorong: 10 per person for fish 46–82 cm and 2 per person for fish over 82 cm, with a possession limit of 2 per person outside the Coorong; tiered 10 + 2 within the Coorong. A slot limit applies: Two regimes. Outside the Lakes & Coorong: minimum 82 cm, bag 2 (boat 6). Within the Coorong: minimum 46 cm with a tiered bag — fish 46–82 cm bag 10 (boat 30), fish over 82 cm bag 2 (boat 6). There is no closed season in SA.

SA mulloway differs inside vs outside the Lakes & Coorong: outside, 82 cm minimum and bag 2; within the Coorong, 46 cm minimum with a tiered bag (10 for 46–82 cm, 2 for over 82 cm). A temporary 50% bag/boat reduction applies in the Gulf St Vincent / Kangaroo Island Fishing Zone until 30 June 2026.
