In Queensland, the minimum legal size for Sand Whiting is 23 cm and the possession limit is 30 (combined total of sand, goldenline and northern whiting). There is no closed season in QLD.

QLD sand whiting minimum is 23 cm (NSW is 27 cm). The 30-fish limit is combined across sand, goldenline and northern whiting. Trumpeter (winter) whiting is a separate entry with no size limit and a limit of 50.
