Wellington Point is a shallow tidal headland in southern Moreton Bay, known for the small King Island that becomes accessible at low tide. The flats surrounding the point are excellent flathead and whiting water on the run-in and low-tide windows, with bream around the oyster bars and mangrove edges. The whiting fishing here is among the best on the south-western bay shore — sand flats, small soft plastics or live yabbies, dawn on a run-in tide.
